Governmental Immunity Cap and Apportionment of Fault Question

Does anyone know when apportionment of fault is calculated.  For example if a judgment is returned for $1,000,000 and the cap for the case is $750,000.  Defendant A is apportioned 40% fault, Defendant B 40% fault (both Defendants are governmental entities) and Plaintiff C 20% fault.  Would Defendant A’s portion to pay be $400,000 or $300,000?  If you know off the top of your head I would appreciate it.  Thanks
